TIARA JACQUELINA EU EFFENDI, Group President @ Chief Dream-maker, is a highly awarded producer and actor with a track record of sold-out musicals like Puteri Gunung Ledang, P. Ramlee the Musical and The Secret Life of Nora, who has always crafted fresh, exciting, world-class productions, which have significantly contributed to not only creating but also raising the bar for the industry.
Known chiefly as an actress and entertainer, Tiara rose to international fame through the Enfiniti-produced award-winning film, Puteri Gunung Ledang. Malaysia’s first ever film to be shortlisted for an Oscar nomination by the 76th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film. For her efforts as executive producer and lead actress in the film, Tiara won several awards for Best Producer and Best Actress awards, at the 2005 Asian 1st Films Festival and the Asia Pacific Film Festival and Malaysian PPFM Oscars. The film was later adapted into Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical, a stage musical that sparked off a national phenomenon, and ran for three sold-out seasons locally with one sold-out season in Singapore. The musical also claimed eight awards at the 2006 BOH Cameronian Arts Awards.
In 2006, she produced P. Ramlee The Musical, which was also a box office success. It won 6 awards at the 2007 BOH Cameronian Arts Awards. In September 2011, Tiara and Enfiniti produced The Secret Life Of Nora, an original musical in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, that featured international collaborations between stage sensations from London’s West End and New York’s Broadway with the Enfiniti Vision Media team. Ever the passionate advocate for the arts, Tiara founded ENFINITI ACADEMY OF MUSICAL THEATRE & ENTERTAINMENT ARTS (ENACT) IN 2011, to be an incubator for the next generation of performing artists, and to raise future leaders of Malaysia who are dynamic, energetic, creative, inspiring, passionate, to create a country that is equally rich economically and culturally. Blessed with relentless optimism, Tiara is the cheer captain of Team Enfiniti, a positive spirit with unstoppable energy, and a passionate arts advocate, dedicated to contributing to the cultural and spiritual wealth of the nation and its people, through her work in the Malaysian creative arts industry.
Mia Palencia launched her luminous career in the Malaysian music scene at the age of 14 as the other half of well‐loved Sabahan jazz duo Double Take. Together with finger‐style guitarist Roger Wang, they released their first album when she was just 16 years old. This became the launching pad for numerous music festival invitations and concerts throughout Asia over the next 15 years, including prestigious venues like Stadium Negara, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas and the Esplanade Theatre, Singapore.
In 2003, Louis Vuitton labelled Mia as Malaysia’s Most Promising Musician at their Next Generation Awards. Mia began writing music and producing original music in 2007. She has released 3 solo albums and toured Indonesia, Singapore and Australia.
In 2010, Mia was offered a full scholarship to study Songwriting at the Conservatorium of Music, University of Tasmania, Australia. After completing her degree, she was subsequently offered a second scholarship to undertake postgraduate study. In 2014, Mia was awarded a University Medal to recognize her outstanding work at Honours level.
Mia is passionate about songwriting and working with aspiring songwriters. She continues to manifest this passion through her PhD Research in Songwriting at the University of Tasmania. She is set to release her 7th album in 2017 with her Australian quartet, In Good Company.
Altimet is an award winning songwriter, rapper & producer, who hosts and acts occasionally. He has been labeled ‘the rapper’s rapper’ by industry peers and continues to make music and help others do the same.
In his spare time, he likes to sleep.
Raja Malek’s design work in theatre began in 1996 when Zahim Albakri invited him to design the costumes for the sell-out production of The Storyteller. He has since designed costumes and sets for numerous theatre productions in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Tokyo. He won Best Set Designer Award for Puteri Gunung Ledang the Musical in the 2006 Cameronian Arts Awards and the Anugerah Seni Negara (National Arts Award) for Set Design. In 2007, he was given the Best Set Design award at the 6th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards for P. Ramlee The Musical Season 1. Raja Malek is also a production designer for the Singapore Youth Olympics, Citrawarna and Malaysia’s showcase at the SEA Games 2015 Closing Ceremony.
Stephen Rahman-Hughes is a multi-talented actor, singer and award-winning choreographer, who enjoys a successful career in musical theatre, on the cinema screen and in front of the TV cameras.
After graduating from the Rambert School, Stephen danced with several acclaimed dance companies. Stephen soon formed his own company, Red Rain Dance Theatre, mixing drama with dance and created numerous pieces. He has been commissioned to create several works on many professional dance companies, winning The Jerwood Award for his choreography on Redrain and The Peter Darrell award for his work on Scottish Ballet.
Stephen turned his talents to musical theatre when he was cast in the UK tour of ‘West Side Story’. A string of noteworthy roles followed with roles in productions including ‘Merchant Of Venice’ at the Bridewell Theatre. Stephen then landed the lead role of ‘Akaash’ in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit show ‘Bombay Dreams’ in the West End and was invited to head a showcase on Broadway.
As a principal actor in the TV show ‘Dream Team’, Stephen showed off his silky football skills as Carl Caskey, a midfield footballing ace. Stephen also made guest lead appearances in ‘Doctors’ (BBC) and was a series regular in one of the most watched TV shows in the UK, ITV’s ‘Emmerdale”.
Stephen was a founding member of the critically-acclaimed vocal group TEATRO signed to Sony BMG. TEATRO has performed in the Stars of Europe concert and at the Royal Variety Performance for Her Majesty The Queen.
In Malaysia, Stephen acted as the mighty warrior Hang Tuah in the multi award-winning ‘Puteri Gunung Ledang the Musical’ and was nominated as ‘Best Actor in a Lead Role’. He also received a nomination for Best Actor at the Monte Carlo awards for his role in ‘The Kitchen Musical’ TV show. Other than starring in highly acclaimed films, Stephen has added another feather to his cap when he choreographed ‘Cuci the Musical’ as well as directed ‘Suessical Jr.’ which received rave reviews. He has performed sell-out solo concerts with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and has released a solo album in Malaysia.
His current work includes the TV series ‘The Bible’ he is a founding member of the dynamic ‘West End Men’, in 2013, Stephen was a leading role in ‘Bollywood Carmen’ (BBC), nominated for the ‘Broadcast Awards’ 2014. Recently, he completed a run as Kassim in ‘Aladdin’ in the West End.
Shamaine Othman is a full time writer, comedian, actor and director from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Some notable work on Malaysian TV include The Disko Baldi Show (8TV), Keluarga Pontimau (TV3), Cinta Bulan Disember (TV3), Aku dan Tok Wan (ASTRO Warna) and Kasut Bola Pink (ASTRO First). Shamaine also wrote and directed three short films, Love Story and Cuak: The Couple for Garang Pictures and Polyzombies (of KL24 Zombies) for Doghouse 73 Pictures. Shamaine has also written for Rojak and Whoopie’s World produced for MediaCorp, Singapore.
For stage, she has written for BOH Cameronian winning sketch comedy group, Projek Disko Baldi and Kam In Your Face 2, a cabaret comedy musical. She can be seen doing stand-up comedy in the KL and Singapore comedy circuit. In 2015, she was invited to be the opening act for international comedians, Gina Yashere and Ronny Chieng.
Ghafir is an actor and director whose work has been seen in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and the US. He’s directed The Language Archive (PH7Productions); Ombak!, Bites of Delights (Rhythm in Bronze); Cinta Sang Arnab (Kakiseni Arts Festival); Going to the Dogs (Instant Café Theatre); and This is Our Youth (York Arena Theatre).
As a regional actor, he was last seen in Medea (Cake Theatrical); Hotel (Wild Rice/OzAsia Festival), Disgraced (SRT); Those Who Can’t, Teach (TNS); Lord of the Flies (Blank Space Theatre); The Good, The Bad, and the Sholay (Checkpoint Theatre); Another Country and Public Enemy (Wild Rice). Malaysian credits include Raj and the End of Tragedy (Cake Theatrical/Instant Café), White Rabbit Red Rabbit, The Baltimore Waltz, Gross Indecency (Instant Café); Nama Kamu Atas Perahu (Manifesto Poetico); 7-10 (Five Arts Centre); and Hamlet (Actors Studio).
